Chiropractor

Josh Young D.C.

Originally from the east coast, spending time in Massachusetts, Philadelphia area, and then New Hampshire. It was in New Hampshire in undergrad at Franklin Pierce University (physics class) where he met his wife and greatest influence to become a chiropractor, Dr. Emily Young.

Following undergraduate studies, they attended Palmer College of Chiropractic together, graduated in 2013, and opened their clinic, Crystal Lake Family Wellness in Crystal Lake, Illinois in 2014 where they have practiced ever since.

Dr. Josh's interests include: devoting time to his family, fitness, nature, chiropractic philosophy, growth mindset, always looking to improve his chiropractic abilities in pursuit of mastery, and working on their farm. He believes how we do something is how we do everything.

Dr. Josh Young believes every man, woman, and child can benefit from regular chiropractic care. As he teaches, the role of the adjustment is to take stress off the nervous system so it can perform it's job. The job of the nervous system is to adapt, and for that reason, all can benefit. He teaches that the spine is the link between brain and body, and when it is supported, the life force within us is amplified and our health is maximized. This is something he is strongly passionate about as it has not only supported his entire family's health and life in a wonderful way, but now tens of thousands of others in over ten years of practice.

Emily Young D.C.

A proud native of Salem, Wisconsin, Dr. Emily Young is a devoted chiropractor, mother of three, and passionate advocate for holistic family wellness. She graduated from Westosha Central High School, where she was actively involved in volleyball and 4-H. It was during high school—while suffering from debilitating migraines—that Dr. Emily was first introduced to chiropractic care, an experience that profoundly shaped her future.

She went on to play four years of collegiate volleyball at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire, earning All-Conference Honors in the Northeast-10 Conference and receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following her undergraduate studies, she attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she further developed her passion for natural, neurologically-focused healthcare.

Dr. Emily is Webster Technique certified and specializes in caring for women through pregnancy, infants, and growing families. She is a birth advocate dedicated to empowering women, having experienced two powerful home births herself—each welcoming nearly 11-pound healthy babies.

Rooted in a chiropractic and holistic lifestyle, Dr. Emily brings warmth, knowledge, and personal experience to every patient she serves, with a heart for helping families thrive naturally.

Sophie Norberg

Sophie is originally from Kimberton, Pennsylvania and attended Loyola University Chicago. She grew up an avid equestrian-lover, and competitively rode horses for over 15 years. During school, Sophie studied Psychology, and obtained a certification in personal training. Sophie enjoys learning about the mind-body connection, working out, and has practiced meditation for several years.

Roxanne O'brien

Roxanne was born and raised in Chicago, and moved to the suburbs at the end of elementary school. After graduating high school, she began working in the printing industry as a graphic designer and continued that career for 18 years. She then made the decision to stay home with her children until aligning with the opportunity at Crystal Lake Family Wellness!
